Beat Keeper is a brand-new metronome and tuner app that is designed to help students practice and tune their instrument to improve their skills. Used in tandem by teachers as a tool to track students’ progress. The goal of this project is to reach minimum viable product and get the app into the marketplace and available to the public.

Engaging and Uplifting

Learning a musical instrument can be one of the most rewarding experiences in a person’s life and I designed this app to be just as joyful and exciting. It is welcoming with bright colors to uplift and stimulate students and keep them engaged.

Functional and Fun

Designed for students ten to eighteen years old learning how to play an instrument, the app had to be clear and accessible for all. Explicit and straightforward design patterns paired with illustrations help students practice, grow and develop all while making it fun.
